Anna Mansfield, Music is Life!

As a mother of two budding musicians, Anna Mansfield brings her deep love of music and early childhood expertise to the Music Is Life! program at Brooklyn Arts Music Academy. Anna’s passion for working with children and sharing the joy of music led her to transition from a volunteer role at Dorothy B. Johnson Pre-K in the 2021-2022 school year to a full-time Music Is Life! teacher at BAMA.

Originally from Southern California, Anna’s musical journey began in marching and symphonic band where she played the flute. Her passion for music extended to raising her children, inspiring them to pursue music from a young age. Her children, now in elementary and middle school, study and perform violin and piano, respectively. Anna believes in the transformative power of music education, not just for musical development, but for its positive impact on academics and mental health.

Anna holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies with a Wildlife minor from Humboldt University.
