Music Lessons
We believe music changes lives! Our faculty is dedicated to giving you the best musical education available in Wilmington and tailoring our instruction to fit each student’s individual needs.
Research has found that the process of learning music increases emotional resilience, empathy, attention span, and self confidence. Participation in music education improves language abilities and sharpens cognitive skills. School-age children studying music are four times more likely than their peers to receive academic awards. In light of this research, we have built a comprehensive music lessons program in which students participate all year round.
Our music lesson program includes 36 private lessons, monthly group classes, and multiple opportunities to perform in solo recitals and ensemble concerts each year.
We offer instruction to students of all ages on cello, harp, piano, viola, and violin. Please visit “Our Teachers” page to learn more about our music lesson instructors.
Violin students may choose to study with faculty teachers or apprentice teachers:
Faculty teachers are professional artist-educators who are Wilmington’s most sought after teachers and performers.
Apprentice teachers are Brooklyn Arts Music Academy students who are among the best and brightest young violinists in Wilmington.
Adult music lessons?
We offer lessons for students of all ages, and we love our adult students! Studying music in adulthood can be an incredibly fulfilling endeavor. Adults at BAMA follow the same music lesson calendar as the youth, but they may choose to take one or two hour lessons per month. Adult students enjoy their individual lessons and playing with other adults in group classes.

30 minute lesson with apprentice teacher—$101 monthly payment
30 minute lessons—$129 monthly payment
45 minute lessons—$181 monthly payment
60 minute lessons—$231 monthly payment
Age 3-5 Suzuki Class (Tuition includes 36 hour group classes and school concerts)
60 minute group class—$129 monthly payment
Adults-Only Program (tuition includes: individual lessons, 7 group classes, December performance, solo recital opportunities, Spring BAMA concert, and miscellaneous other performances and opportunities)
One 60 minute lesson per month— $91 monthly payment
Two 60 minute lessons per month— $176 monthly payment
