Scholarship Application Form

Please complete this application to apply for a music lessons scholarship. Applications are due by July 31, 2024

Scholarship awards decisions are made by the scholarship committee of the BAMA board of directors. Decisions are made based on the following considerations:

Information submitted on the scholarship application form
Current account standing with BAMA (for returning students)
Availability of scholarship funds
Student commitment, attendance and progress in lessons (for returning students)
Preference is given to students who have participated in Music is Life! at Dorothy B. Johnson or Mary W. Howe Pre-K

Continuation of the award through the academic year is contingent upon:

Regular attendance at lessons. More than two excused absences may result in the termination of assistance.
Reasonable progress in lessons that reflects regular practice at home.

Each music lessons scholarship includes the full value of our comprehensive music lessons program along with a musical instrument and music lesson books for use by the student during the year. Ownership of musical instruments remains with Brooklyn Arts Music Academy.

Current awards are not automatically renewed each year. A new application must be submitted for each student yearly.
